No. The analysis engine parses your file in memory and deletes it immediately after. We store the score and summary metadata, not the file itself. See the Data Handling page for the full policy.
It is a 0-100 composite index we compute from 17 checks run against your schedule file. It is our index, built on the DCMA 14-point assessment methodology. See "How the Score Works" for the exact weighting.
DCMA (Defense Contract Management Agency) developed a standard 14-check framework for evaluating whether a project schedule is reliable. Federal agencies use it to vet contractor schedules. We built our engine on the same 14 checks and added 3 more.
The free score includes your Schedule Health Score (0-100) and a pass/fail result for each of the 17 checks. No account or email required to see it. You can have the results link emailed to you so you don't lose it. The fix steps and the list of offending tasks require the paid report.
Two honest reasons. Your schedule may have changed, or our checks got tougher. In July 2026 the critical path test (check 12) went from a structural check to the real DCMA delay-injection test: we inject a 600-day delay into an in-progress critical task, and the check passes only if your finish date moves with it. Schedules that passed the old check can lose about 11 points if the delay is absorbed by missing links or hard constraints. That lower number is what a reviewer running the same test would find. Better you see it first. If you picked the Strict scoring profile, expect lower scores by design.
The full report explains every failure in plain English, names the specific tasks causing each failure, gives step-by-step fix instructions written for Microsoft Project (P6-specific steps are in progress; see the Primavera question below), and includes the downloads: PDF report, PowerPoint findings deck, CSV issue log, and the Excel cockpit.

Free result pages expire after 24 hours. That's a privacy choice, not a sales tactic: we don't keep your results sitting on a server unless you're a customer. You can have the link emailed to you before it expires. Paid single reports stay available for 30 days. Annual subscribers keep their reports in their account through the end of the current subscription year. Want one gone sooner? Email support@ganttscore.com and we delete it. Downloaded files are yours to keep forever.

The 17 checks are deterministic: they run the same calculation every time against the data in your file. The score is only as accurate as the data. A schedule with placeholder logic or dummy dates will score poorly, which is the point.
Yes. The engine accepts .xer files from Primavera P6: upload, scoring, the full check results, offender lists, and every download work the same as for Microsoft Project files. One honest caveat: the step-by-step fix instructions are written as Microsoft Project click-paths today; P6-specific steps are in progress.
